Domestic Projects

House Problem

We often provide a diagnosis to issues which cause owners to worry. We are also asked to resolve
issues between landlord and tenant, or advise on Party Wall Act issues, or the feaibility of a loft
conversion.

Extensions

We apply the same principles of safety, buildability, and cost reduction to all our remits – large or
small.

Structural Surveys

When your house purchase hits a snag we are here to help. Typically a Building Surveyor will require a Structural Engineer’s involvement where there is any possibility that his/her own commentary on the issue might be deemed to be outside his/her competence. Surveyors have to be very careful about staying within boundaries set by their insurers. We don’t feel so restricted. Our reports are clear, easy to read, and go directly to the point. They are illustrated with photos and sometimes with diagrams; and wherever possible we avoid jargon – or at least explain it. We find that in 95% of cases there is no real problem, and where there is a problem we can diagnose it 99% of the time. We have never had a situation where a Building Society would not accept our report.

Historic Buildings

We have an extensive portfolio of work on listed and historic buildings including a cruck framed hall
house near Burford, an Elizabethan manor house near Newport Pagnell, and numerous others.
